Castle Park View is the first private housing development to be connected to Bristol City Council’s heat network and includes Bristol’s tallest residential tower.
The 300 private rented apartments and 75 affordable apartments are bookended within buildings of 26 storeys and ten storeys.
J S Wright was responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical and electrical services for all 375 apartments and communal areas across the 180,000 sq ft development.
Mechanical Installations:
- Low pressure hot water (LPHW) heating system connected to Bristol heat network in heating plant room
- Distribution pipework to feed LPHW to apartment heat interface units (HIUs) for domestic service and underfloor heating
- Boosted cold water system including pipework from cold-water plant room to serve all apartments
- Heat interface units supplied on utility boards from in-house prefabrication department
- Mechanical ventilation heat recovery (MVHR) and mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) systems
- Sanitaryware and brassware installations
- Internal rainwater harvesting system
- Above ground drainage system
- Sprinkler system fed by boosted cold water to serve all apartments
- Smoke and environmental ventilation
- Wet and dry risers in communal areas including underground parking
