Nine Elms Point is a major new residential and retail development at Vauxhall in central London. The
development on the south bank of the River Thames comprises seven residential buildings – the tallest of
which is 37 storeys – and a new flagship Sainsbury’s superstore.

Linked by open green space and landscaped raised gardens, Nine Elms Point forms a key part of the ongoing Nine Elms redevelopment, London’s largest transformation project.

J S Wright was responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of pre-designed mechanical services for the 645 private and shared ownership apartments and penthouses, along with the concierge, gym, lounge and dining rooms, business suite, cinema room and basement car park.

Harbour Central is a spectacular residential development in London’s Docklands, comprising 642 luxury private apartments spread across five buildings.

The 42-storey Maine Tower, the largest of the buildings, has a total of 299 highly specified apartments ranging from studios to penthouses. Harbour Central’s leisure complex includes a residents’ club with a library, concierge, gym and spa, business suites and a cinema.

J S Wright was responsible for installing, testing and commissioning the mechanical engineering infrastructure for the development, as well as completing the fit-out of the mechanical services for the Maine Tower and the M&E services for the amenity and club areas.

Fish Island Village 1 & 2 is a vast award-winning mixed-use development at Hackney Wick in London. Designed and built by housebuilder Hill and housing association Peabody with the area’s industrial heritage in mind, the scheme aims to create a lively and vibrant canalside community.

J S Wright was responsible for installing, testing and commissioning the mechanical services for all 423 one, two and three-bedroom private and affordable apartments, along with a concierge, gym and underground parking, in the first two phases of the development comprising 16 blocks.

J S Wright also provided the services for The Trampery, a ground floor level network of workspaces on the development, managed by the social enterprise of the same name.

Mechanical Installations – Apartments
  • Mains cold water supply from site boundary to storage tank and booster set in basement energy centre, with distribution pipework to all flats
  • Natural gas supply from bulk gas meter to communal boilers in energy centre
  • LTHW heating from community gas boilers in energy centre to apartment HIU boilers for domestic hot water service and underfloor heating
  • Hot and cold-water systems, including pipework and boosted cold-water feed from energy centre to apartment HIUs to serve all domestic appliances
  • Mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems serving apartment blocks and concierge
  • Local supply and extract systems to energy centre, cleaners’ cupboards and bin stores
  • Rainwater drainage pipes for balconies
  • Above ground drainage to remove soil, waste and overflows from all flats and energy centre to underground drainage system

Blackwall Reach is one of the UK’s largest residential mixed-use urban regeneration projects.

The £300million development in the Poplar district of east London will create more than 1,500 new homes in a brand-new neighbourhood occupying over 20 acres.

J S Wright was responsible for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical services for Phase 1B, now known as Station Square, comprising 242 homes and commercial areas within two nine-storey buildings and a 23-storey tower.

Mechanical Installations:
  • Three plate heat exchangers within a central energy centre to deliver LTHW heating to all three buildings

  • Associated twin pump sets, pressurisation units, degassers, and side stream filters

  • LTHW distribution to each of the apartments via heat interface units for domestic hot water services and underfloor heating
